The third season of the popular anime series Demon Slayer, also known as Kimetsu no Yaiba, has finally arrived, much to the delight of fans who have been eagerly waiting to see where the story of Tanjiro and his companions would go next. After the second season wrapped up in February of last year, fans were left wondering what would happen next, but luckily, a theatrical event was launched in North America last March and in Japan in February, featuring the anime film Demon Slayer: To the Swordsmith Village.

What made the film unique was its approach of blending the last two episodes of season 2 and the first episode of season 3 into a cinematic feature. The story picks up where the second season left off, with Tanjiro seeking the help of Hotaru Haganezuka to fix his damaged sword. However, enemies are always lurking, and while his blade is out of commission, new demons are closing in on Tanjiro, his sister Nezuko, and his friends Inosuke and Zenitsu, giving them a run for their money.

Fans can expect to meet two new Upper Moon demons in season 3: Hantengu and Gyokko. Along with a new theme song for the series, the Love and Mist Hashiras will also be joining the fray, bringing their own unique sword styles and breathwork to the table.

The Swordsmith storyline of Demon Slayer picks up where the story left off after the Entertainment District Arc in both the manga and the TV series, with Tanjiro on a mission to find a mysterious ancient weapon while his sword is being repaired. The first episode of season 3 will be released as a one-hour special on Fuji TV in Japan on April 9 at 11:15 p.m. JST.

For fans outside of Japan, the series will be available for streaming on Crunchyroll beginning on Sunday, April 9. The first episode will be simulcast on Crunchyroll from 10:45-11:30 a.m. PT (1:45-2:30 p.m. ET) in the US, with subtitles in English, Spanish, Castilian, Portuguese, French, German, Italian, Arabic, Russian, and Hindi. New episodes will be simulcast exclusively in North America, Central America, South America, and Europe.

However, if you’re looking to catch up on the earlier seasons of the show and don’t want to subscribe to Crunchyroll, Hulu and Netflix have those seasons available for streaming. It’s worth noting that Demon Slayer season 3 is currently exclusive to Crunchyroll and will not be available on Hulu this weekend, as confirmed by a company representative to CNET via email. Unfortunately, the representative did not reveal when or if the season would become available on Hulu.
