Demon Slayer Season 3 gives updates on Zenitsu and Inosuke’s condition after the battle with Upper Moon 6

After much anticipation, Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Season 3 has finally premiered as part of the Spring 2023 anime lineup. The first episode of the new arc brought fans up to speed on the current status of Zenitsu Agatsuma and Inosuke Hashibira, who have been recovering from their last battle in the Entertainment District arc from Season 2. The new season continues with the Swordsmith Village Arc from the original manga by Koyoharu Gotoge, and the main characters, including Tanjiro Kamado, have been recovering from the injuries sustained during their last fight with Daki and Gyutaro.

As the Swordsmith Village Arc begins, Tanjiro and Nezuko head towards the titular village, while Inosuke and Zenitsu go off on their own missions after recovering more quickly than Tanjiro. However, this means that they may not be involved in the main fights of this arc. Episode 1 of Season 3 explains that Inosuke and Zenitsu have gone off on their own missions, just like they did when they were at the Butterfly Mansion together previously. It is not revealed where Inosuke’s new mission is, but Zenitsu has been sent off to some distant mountains, where he has been making a lot of noise and complaining about being away from Nezuko.

While Tanjiro, Nezuko, Inosuke, and Zenitsu have all fought together in the past, it seems that Tanjiro and Nezuko will be on their own in the upcoming battles of this arc. However, they will have some new allies in the form of two Hashira who are also in the Swordsmith Village. Fans will have to wait and see how the story unfolds in Demon Slayer Season 3.
