Demon Slayer cosplay brings Kokushibo to life

Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba has returned with its highly anticipated third season, which is part of the jam-packed lineup of new anime releases in the Spring 2023 schedule. Fans are excited to witness the Swordsmith Village arc from Koyoharu Gotouge’s original manga, which explores the members of Muzan Kibutsuji’s Upper Ranks that have been teased since the beginning of the anime.

The Swordsmith Village arc, which kicked off the third season, has revealed the final three members of Muzan’s Upper Ranks. One of them is Kokushibo, the strongest demon working under Muzan, who instantly terrified fans with his multi-eyed look. Fans have been raving about one particular cosplay artist on Instagram, Low Cost Cosplay, who has managed to bring Kokushibo’s wild appearance to life with a creative use of mirrors to capture all six of his eyes.

In the first episode of the Swordsmith Village arc, it is revealed that Kokushibo is the Upper One ranked demon in Muzan’s Upper Rank group. After Gyutaro’s defeat by Tanjiro Kamado and the others, Muzan called the remaining members to the Infinity Castle to move forward with the next phase of his plan. Muzan was angered over the loss of one of his Upper Ranks for the first time in over 100 years, and Kokushibo was the only one among them who didn’t seem to be very fearful of Muzan’s power.

Kokushibo is set to play a significant role in the future of Demon Slayer as the anime continues with new episodes. The Swordsmith Village arc has planted some curious seeds about the powerful demon’s potential ties to the Kamado family and more. With the Upper Ranks taking center stage in the fights moving forward, it’s only a matter of time before fans see the strongest one of these demons in their own fight.
