Demon Slayer Season 3: All about Hantengu before Upper Moon’s introduction

Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba has been a fan-favorite anime since its debut in 2019, based on the manga series by Koyoharu Gotouge. The anime has garnered a massive following for its breathtaking animation, stunning visuals, and engaging storyline. After two successful seasons, fans have been eagerly waiting for the third season, which is set to adapt the Swordsmith Village arc from the manga series.

The Swordsmith Village arc promises to be an action-packed season with new characters and formidable foes. The first episode of the arc will be an hour-long special that will serve as the launching point for the season. Fans are excited to see Tanjiro and his friends explore the Hidden Swordsmith Village, where they will meet new people, including the two Hashiras.

In season 2, the Upper Moons, Daki and Gyutaro, were defeated by the demon slayers. In retaliation, Muzan Kibutsuji, the main antagonist of the series, summoned the Upper Moons to exact revenge. Hantengu, one of the Twelve Kizuki, was one of the demons sent by Muzan to attack the demon slayers. Hantengu is a powerful demon with impressive abilities, and fans are curious to see how he will be portrayed in the anime.

Hantengu’s backstory reveals that he was once a human who committed heinous acts, such as killing innocent individuals in various towns and cities while robbing many more. He would claim that he wasn’t the one who committed the atrocities and that only his hands were to blame, giving the impression that he was also mentally ill and had delusions. Eventually, Hantengu was caught and sentenced to death. However, Muzan Kibutsuji turned him into a demon, and he broke free from his cell and killed the judge who had given him the death penalty.

Hantengu’s demon abilities are formidable. He is a master of stealth and can infiltrate even the most well-defended areas without being detected. He also possesses incredible durability, speed, and reflexes, which make him a challenging opponent to defeat. He can produce four clones of himself, each as strong as an Upper Moon demon. One of the clones, Sekido, has the ability to manipulate and modify his flesh, change his size, and produce lightning. Karaku, another clone, can produce and manipulate wind with his fleshly, maple-leaf-shaped Uchiwa, while Aizetsu can project his Yari’s thrusting assault over long distances. Urogi, the final clone, can use sonic scream and replicate the characteristics and skills of avian species, such as his big feathered wings and keen claws.

The Swordsmith Village arc promises to be an action-packed season, filled with thrilling fights and new characters. With the Upper Moons seeking revenge against the demon slayers, the stakes are higher than ever before. Fans are eagerly anticipating the release of Demon Slayer season 3 to see how the story will unfold and what challenges Tanjiro and his friends will face.
