Kawaki, a character introduced in the Boruto: Naruto Next Generations manga and anime series, was originally a member of the Kara Organization, which was responsible for granting him his abilities. However, he has since become a ninja of Konoha and a member of the Uzumaki family. He now fights alongside Boruto, Mitsuki, and Sarada Uchiha as a member of Team 7. Kawaki is looking to make up for the sins of his past and has become an important character in the series, especially in the ongoing battle against Jigen’s protege, Code.
As the anime explores original content with Team 7 taking to the seas to help an island in need, the manga continues to delve deeper into the story of Kara and puts Kawaki at the forefront of the battle against Code. In the manga, Boruto has been taken over by Momoshiki, and Kawaki steps up to show that his Karma ability may not be fully mastered yet.
Fans of the series will be excited to know that the English voice actor for Kawaki has been revealed. Michael Schwalbe will be bringing Kawaki to life in the upcoming English dubbed episodes of the Vessel Arc and beyond. Although it is unclear whether the dub will air on Toonami like many episodes of Naruto in the past, physical and digital releases will continue to bring the latest episodes to fans in the West. The English dub will be a great way for fans to experience some of the most important moments in the Hidden Leaf Village’s history, as translated by talented voice actors like Schwalbe.
