Black Clover mobile game delayed until 2023, with global closed beta tests planned

Vic Game Studios’ upcoming mobile game, Black Clover Mobile: Rise of the Wizard King, has finally launched its official website early on Monday morning JST. The game is based on the popular manga and anime series, Black Clover, which has garnered a massive following around the world. The game’s official name was also revealed on the website. Along with the launch of the website, a prologue and a trailer for the game were also posted.

According to a video letter from Vic Game Studios’ CEO, Choi Jae-Young, the game’s worldwide release has been delayed until the first half of 2023. The game will also conduct global closed beta testing in select regions to check for service stability and other issues. The mobile game will be free-to-play with in-app purchases available on both iOS and Android devices.

Initially, the game was supposed to be launched worldwide in 2022. However, the developer decided to delay its release to improve its quality. The delay, while unfortunate for fans, may result in a better game overall.

Bandai Namco Entertainment launched the Black Clover Phantom Knights smartphone game in Japan in November 2018. It then released the game’s English version for Android and iOS in January 2020. However, the game ended service in both languages in December 2020. Black Clover Mobile: Rise of the Wizard King will be the next attempt to bring the Black Clover franchise to mobile devices, and fans are eagerly anticipating its release.
