Hunter x Hunter manga returns from hiatus on October 23

Hunter x Hunter manga will finally end its extended hiatus and return on October 23, according to the Weekly Shonen Jump and Viz Media’s Shonen Jump. The latest chapter of the manga will receive a simulpub release on Viz Media’s Shonen Jump. Additionally, Viz Media has announced that the entire series, including chapter 1-390, is now available in English digitally on Shonen Jump.

Hunter x Hunter manga series has undergone several extended hiatus periods since it was first launched in Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump magazine in 1998. The series has inspired two television anime series, anime films, and several original video anime titles. The second television anime series, produced by Madhouse, retold the original manga’s story from the beginning and streamed on Crunchyroll. Viz Media releases the series in English for North America.
