Demon Slayer Season 2 gets an English trailer

Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba has become a cultural phenomenon, with a massive fan following both in Japan and around the world. The anime series is based on the manga by Koyoharu Gotouge, which has sold over 150 million copies in Japan alone. The first season of the anime premiered in 2019 and was a massive success, winning the “Best Anime” award at the 2019 Newtype Anime Awards and the “Anime of the Year” award at the 2020 Crunchyroll Anime Awards.

After the success of the first season, fans eagerly awaited news about the release of the second season. The makers of the series surprised them with a feature film instead, Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba the Movie: Mugen Train, which served as a direct sequel to the first season. The film broke numerous box office records in Japan and became the highest-grossing anime film and Japanese film of all time.

Now, fans are eagerly anticipating the release of the second season of the anime series, which has been confirmed for later this Fall. Aniplex of America recently released an English subtitled trailer for the second season during their special panel at Anime Expo Lite 2021, much to the delight of fans outside of Japan. The trailer promises more epic battles and heart-wrenching moments, and fans are eagerly counting down the days until they can see their favorite characters on screen again.
