Bleach: TYBW Part 2 gets new visual and early screening for first two episodes in June

The highly anticipated second cour of the Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War (TYBW) anime has revealed a stunning new visual for its upcoming episodes titled Part 2: The Separation, along with the exciting news that it’s getting an early screening in Japan for the first two episodes on June 25. The visual showcases the iconic character Ichigo with his new zanpakuto featuring two blades.

Fans of the Bleach franchise are thrilled to see Masakazu Morita and Yuki Matsuoka reprising their roles as Ichigo and Orihime respectively, while Takayuki Sugo will be joining the cast as Yhwach. Creator Tite Kubo has also stated in an interview that the second part will animate a new fight that was not included in the manga. It will feature a battle between two “certain characters,” and the anime production team requested to have the character fight around this time, which is why Kubo revisited the idea. He even provided five or six pages of illustrations to showcase how the characters would move, transition, and fight.

Studio Pierrot, which produced the original TV anime adaptation of Tite Kubo’s Bleach manga, aired between October 2004 and March 2012, with a total of 366 episodes. VIZ Media licensed the English version of the anime. They describe the Bleach 2022 (TYBWA) story as follows: The peace is suddenly broken when warning sirens blare through the Soul Society. Residents there are disappearing without a trace, and nobody knows who’s behind it. Meanwhile, a dark shadow is also extending itself toward Ichigo and his friends in Karakura Town.

Bleach fans are eagerly looking forward to the upcoming episodes, with the new fight scene and the stunning visual promises to deliver even more excitement and intrigue to the popular anime series.
