Classic animes like Death Note and Sailor Moon are now available for free on YouTube

Anime and manga publisher Viz Media has made a move that is sure to delight anime fans worldwide. They have made several hit anime series available for free on their YouTube channel. The company has uploaded six of the most popular shows that it has the rights to on YouTube and has compiled them into easy-to-use playlists. Death Note, Hunter x Hunter, Inuyasha, Mr. Osomatsu, Naruto, and Sailor Moon are all available for viewing, mostly in their entirety. One thing to note is that these are the Japanese versions of the shows with English subtitles, so viewers who prefer dubbed anime might not find it suitable. However, for those who like to keep it original, there is a lot to dive into here.

Death Note is one of the six anime available on the channel, and it is also the shortest anime on the list, with only 37 episodes in its one season. It revolves around the Death Note, a notebook with the power to kill anyone whose name is written inside. The story follows a high school student named Light Yagami, who finds the book and uses it to eliminate people he considers immoral and unworthy of life. However, his actions eventually draw the attention of L, a brilliant and eccentric detective, leading to an electrifying supernatural game of cat-and-mouse. With this new availability on YouTube, fans have an opportunity to revisit or watch for the first time one of the most thrilling anime series of all time.
