Anime and manga series about a young ninja named Naruto Uzumaki

Naruto is a Japanese manga series that was written and illustrated by Masashi Kishimoto. The story follows the journey of Naruto Uzumaki, a young ninja from the village of Konohagakure, as he seeks to become the Hokage, the leader of his village. The series is divided into two parts; the first part is set in Naruto’s pre-teen years, where he is often an outcast in his village due to the Nine-Tailed Fox that was sealed inside him at birth. The second part is set in his teenage years, where he has gained more allies and has become more powerful as a ninja.

The manga was serialized in Weekly Shōnen Jump from 1999 to 2014, and the anime television series adaptation premiered in Japan in 2002, with a total of 220 episodes that aired until 2007. The English dubbed version of the series aired on Cartoon Network and YTV from 2005 to 2009. The series’ popularity led to the creation of several spin-offs, including Naruto: Shippuden, a sequel that premiered in Japan in 2007 and ended in 2017. The English dub of Naruto: Shippuden was broadcast on Disney XD from 2009 to 2011.

In addition to the anime series, there are also 11 Naruto movies and 12 original video animations (OVAs) produced by Pierrot. There are also numerous light novels, video games, and trading cards based on the series, developed by several companies. The story of Naruto continues in Boruto, which follows the adventures of Naruto’s son, Boruto Uzumaki, as he becomes a ninja in his own right.
