In the world of fandom, anime enthusiasts are known for their passion and dedication to their favorite franchises. The English-language dub of the anime, which premiered in the early 2000s, has been a hit with fans in the United States, and its voice cast has become beloved in the anime community. Yuri Lowenthal, who has become a prolific voice actor in video games and animation, voiced the character of Sasuke Uchiha in the “Naruto” English dub. In a 2014 interview with Anime Snacktime TV, Lowenthal admitted that he was nervous to take on the role because of the massive hype and anticipation surrounding the franchise, as well as the vocal and at times unhinged behavior of some fans.

Tara Platt, Lowenthal’s wife and a fellow “Naruto” castmate, pointed out that it is impossible to please everyone, but that overall the fans of the show were supportive of the English dub.
