Naruto is coming to Funimation Now for UK and Ireland

Funimation and Manga Entertainment have teamed up to bring the original Naruto anime series to the streaming service Funimation Now for viewers in the United Kingdom and Ireland. The series, which is also known as Naruto Unleashed, will be available in its entirety from Tuesday 15th October at 6:00 pm BST in both English and Japanese audio with English subtitles. Fans can look forward to all 220 episodes across the five seasons that aired between 2002 to 2007.

Although Naruto has been available to watch on Crunchyroll in the UK and Ireland since 2017, this marks the first time that the English dub will be available to legally stream through Funimation Now. The two distributors have been working to add more catalog content for the UK and Ireland since Funimation’s acquisition of Manga Entertainment in May 2019. Recent examples of this effort include Blood-C, Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood, and Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex.

Funimation and Manga Entertainment had previously announced plans to stream Naruto Shippuden during their official acquisition announcement, but an estimated launch window for the series has not been revealed as of yet. The addition of the original Naruto series is sure to excite fans and provide a great opportunity for those who have not yet had the chance to experience the show’s compelling story and unique characters.
