Gintama THE VERY FINAL” to debut in US theaters in November

Gintama fans, rejoice! The countdown has officially begun for the highly anticipated release of the third and final film in the fan-favorite Gintama anime franchise. Titled “Gintama THE VERY FINAL,” the movie premiered earlier this year in Japan, and now it’s making its way to theaters across the United States thanks to Fathom Events and Eleven Arts.

The upcoming feature film will be playing in select cinemas on Sunday, November 21, with a dubbed version in English at 3 p.m., and a subtitled version at 7 p.m. The following day, Monday, November 22, a subtitled version in English will be screened at 7 p.m. All times are local to the theater. During these special in-theater events, fans will also get the chance to watch exclusive animated bonus content featuring Gintama creator Hideaki Sorachi.

Directed by Chizuru Miyawaki and starring the voice talents of Tomokazu Sugita as Gintoki Sakata, Rie Kugimiya as Kagura, and Daisuke Sakaguchi as Shinpachi Shimura, “Gintama THE VERY FINAL” adapts some of the final moments of the original manga with new elements crafted specifically for the movie.
