On Thursday, Crunchyroll announced that the English dub of the TV anime adaptation of Kōko Shirakawa’s “Raven of the Inner Palace” novel series will be available for streaming on Saturday. The anime premiered on October 1, and Crunchyroll is streaming it as it airs in Japan.

The English cast includes voice actors such as Alexis Tipton as Shouxue, Christopher Wehkamp as Gaojun, Bryn Apprill as Jiujiu, and Stephanie Young as Axiu. Jerry Jewell is directing the English dub, while Jill Harris is serving as the assistant director.

“Raven of the Inner Palace” revolves around Uki, an imperial concubine who is known to use mysterious magic for various tasks, from finding lost items to inflicting curses. However, when a circumstance arises and the emperor finally calls on her, their meeting will change history.

The series is being directed by Chizuru Miyawaki, and Satomi Ooshima is overseeing the series scripts. Shinji Takeuchi is adapting Ayuko’s original character designs for animation, and Asami Tachibana is composing the music. Queen Bee performs the opening theme song “Mysterious,” while krage performs the ending theme song “Natsu no Yuki” (Summer Snow). The novel series was launched by Shirakawa with illustrations by Ayuko in April 2018, and the seventh and final volume was released on April 21.
