English Dub review of “Engage Kiss: Third-Party Demon Killer”

In the latest episode of Engage Kiss, titled “Third-Party Demon Killer,” a mysterious and hyper-violent demon slayer nun is on the loose in Bayron City, looking for Shu and Kisara. The episode relies heavily on this character and her brutal combat skills to drive the plot forward, which succeeds in adding an exciting and immersive element to the show’s world-building.

Additionally, the episode explores the dynamics between the characters, particularly Kisara’s anger towards Shu and Ayano’s intimacy. This highlights the crux of the situation, which is Kisara’s unwarranted anger towards someone who has not committed any wrongdoing. It’s an interesting layer to the story and adds depth to the characters.

The nun is revealed to be a member of a worldwide organization that helps people in need and doubles as an exorcism group. This adds to the international scope of the organization and creates a seedy underworld reminiscent of the John Wick franchise. The animation during the nun’s fight with Ayano is stunning and characterizes enthralling hand-to-hand combat. It’s an engrossing thriller as the nun goes from target to target, trying to track down Kisara and Shu, the latter of whom she has a mysterious connection with.

The nun’s name is Sharon, and her past in tracking down and capturing Kisara with Shu in their initial introduction is intriguing. The flashbacks show Shu’s intentions in meeting Kisara and helping his family, but his former allegiance with the crazed nun raises many questions about how they all met originally. The episode ends with Sharon wiping the floor with Shu, proving how much of a powerhouse she is and setting up the next episode for further exploration of their shared history. Overall, this episode is a thrilling addition to the Engage Kiss series.
