Boruto becomes the hero he was meant to be

Boruto, the protagonist of the manga series by the same name, has been a controversial figure in the Naruto franchise since his inception. Many fans felt that he was lacking in charisma, depth, and development compared to his predecessor, Naruto Uzumaki. However, in chapter #80 of the Boruto manga, the young shinobi finally steps up and proves that he is the hero that the series needs.

The chapter picks up after Kawaki, a fellow ninja and ally of Boruto, uses Eida’s power of Omnipotence to rewrite the minds of everyone in Konoha and beyond. In the new reality, Kawaki is the son of Naruto and the hero of the village, while Boruto is the outsider who betrayed the village and killed the Hokage. Except for Sarada and Sumire, who were saved by their respective abilities, everyone now sees Boruto as the enemy.

After being saved by Sasuke, Boruto is faced with the daunting task of deciding what to do next. His words and actions in this moment are crucial, as they finally show some significant character development. Boruto owns up to his mistakes and proudly declares himself to be an heir of both the Uzumaki and the Hyuga clans.

This declaration is significant for several reasons. First, it acknowledges the importance of Boruto’s heritage and his place in the larger Naruto universe. Second, it shows that Boruto is ready to take responsibility for his actions and make a stand for what he believes in. And third, it sets up the character for future growth and development.

Throughout the series, Boruto has struggled to find his place as the protagonist of his own story. He has often felt like a victim of circumstances rather than a hero in his own right. However, his words and actions in chapter #80 show that he is finally stepping up and taking charge of his destiny.

It is worth noting that Boruto’s growth and development has been a slow burn throughout the series. While some fans may have been frustrated by the lack of progress, it is clear that the creators of the manga have been building towards this moment for some time. With the much-anticipated part 2 of the series on the horizon, it will be exciting to see how Boruto continues to evolve and grow as a character.
