New visual and early screening of first 2 episodes of BLEACH: TYBW Part 2 in June

Fans of the BLEACH anime and manga series can look forward to a new visual and early screening of the Thousand-Year Blood War (TYBW) TV anime’s second cour, titled Part 2: The Separation. The anime will be screened in Japan for the first two episodes on June 25, before its official release date in October 2022.

The new visual features Ichigo with his new zanpakuto, a Japanese sword used by the Soul Reapers in the series, which has two blades instead of one. The visual also teases some of the upcoming battles that viewers can expect in Part 2, with Ichigo and his friends facing off against powerful enemies.

Returning to voice their iconic characters are Masakazu Morita and Yuki Matsuoka, who will reprise their roles as Ichigo and Orihime, respectively. Joining them is Takayuki Sugo, who will voice the main antagonist Yhwach. Fans of the manga series will also be excited to hear that the second cour will animate a new fight that wasn’t originally drawn in the manga.

According to Tite Kubo, the creator of BLEACH, the new fight will feature two “certain characters” in a battle that will take place around this time in the anime’s story. Kubo provided the anime production team with five or six pages of illustrations to show how the characters would move, transition, and fight. Fans of the series can look forward to seeing how the anime brings this epic new battle to life on screen.

BLEACH originally aired between October 2004 and March 2012, with a total of 366 episodes. The upcoming Thousand-Year Blood War arc will continue the story, with Ichigo and his friends facing new challenges and enemies. The story will focus on the Soul Society, where residents are disappearing without a trace, and a dark shadow is extending itself toward Ichigo and his friends in Karakura Town. VIZ Media has licensed the anime series in English, so fans around the world can enjoy the latest installment of the popular BLEACH franchise.
