Know Demon Slayer’s’Hashira

Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba is a popular anime series that has gained a massive following since its debut in 2019. The anime is based on the manga by Koyoharu Gotouge and follows the story of a young boy named Tanjiro Kamado, who becomes a demon slayer after his family is brutally murdered by demons. Throughout his journey, Tanjiro is aided by the Hashira, the most senior and powerful members of the Demon Slayer Corps.

With the third season of Demon Slayer currently airing, fans have been introduced to two new Hashira, Muichiro Tokito and Mitsuri Kanroji, who have not been featured in previous seasons. Each of the Hashira possesses unique abilities and personalities, making them a fascinating group to get to know.

Mitsuri Kanroji, also known as the Love Hashira, is one of the physically strongest members of the Demon Slayer Corps. Despite her rank, she is shy and easily flustered, making her one of the most jovial and kind of the Hashira. Her fighting style is precise and uses a sword and techniques that are whip-like.

Muichiro Tokito, also known as the Mist Hashira, is just fourteen years old, making him one of the youngest members of the Demon Slayer Corps. He is quiet and unfocused, giving off a cold demeanor, but his abilities are not to be underestimated.

Shinobu Kocho, the Insect Hashira, is a powerful combatant and a skilled medic. She is often seen nursing injured members of the Demon Slayer Corps back to health, including Tanjiro and his companions.

Giyu Tomioka, the Water Hashira, is one of the most reserved members of the Hashira, with a strong sense of justice. His powers and fighting style are similar to the water breathing technique used by Tanjiro, but more advanced and practiced.

Obanai Iguro, the Serpent Hashira, has a serpent-like appearance and is known for his cold and merciless demeanor. He cares for few people, one of them being Mitsuri, the Love Hashira.

Sanemi Shinazugawa, the Wind Hashira, is known for his short temper and impulsive behavior. His wind-breathing technique can mimic cyclones and whirlwinds.

Gyomei Himejima, the Stone Hashira, is the oldest member of the group and acts as a mentor to the others. He is gentle and soft-spoken, despite his intimidating appearance, but his strength in battle against demons is unmatched.

Kyojuro Rengoku, the Flame Hashira, quickly became a fan-favorite character after his introduction in the Mugen Train movie and arc. He is enthusiastic, friendly, and kind, and was immediately willing to help train Tanjiro in fire breathing technique.

Tengen Uzui, the Sound Hashira, is a ninja with three ninja wives and a limitless enthusiasm for flashiness. His fighting style allows him to weaponize sound waves, making him a formidable opponent.

Getting to know the Hashira is an essential part of understanding Demon Slayer, as they are the backbone of the Demon Slayer Corps and play a crucial role in Tanjiro’s journey to become a powerful demon slayer. Each of them brings their unique abilities and personalities to the table, making them an unforgettable group of characters.
