Black Clover movie delayed for 3 months

Black Clover fans were disappointed to hear that the highly anticipated movie adaptation of the popular Shonen Jump fantasy series has been delayed by three months. The official Black Clover: Sword of the Wizard King website announced that the premiere of the movie, which was originally scheduled for March 31, 2023, has been pushed back to June 16 of the same year due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. Those who have purchased advanced tickets for the film will still be able to use them for the postponed screenings.

In light of the delay, the production committee behind the project apologized to fans and stated that the safety of their staff is their top priority. Unfortunately, Black Clover is not the only anime project to be affected by the pandemic. Other titles such as Masamune-Kun’s Revenge, Uncle From Another World, and NieR Automata have also announced their own schedule changes.

Black Clover is produced by Pierrot, a well-known animation studio that has worked on popular titles such as Naruto, Tokyo Ghoul, and Ghost Stories. The series is based on the manga of the same name, which is written by Yuki Tabata and published by Shueisha. Ayataka Anemura, who has worked on titles like Devilman: Crybaby and D.Gray-Man Hallow, will direct the film adaptation, titled The Sword of the Wizard King. Fans can look forward to seeing their favorite characters from the series on the big screen, including Asta, Yuno, and the rest of the Black Bulls as they embark on a new adventure.
