Two new cast members were announced for My Hero Academia anime

The anime adaptation of the popular manga series My Hero Academia has been going strong with its sixth season, which premiered on October 1. The season is set to air for two continuous cours, or a quarter of a year, with a total of 25 episodes. Fans can catch the anime as it airs in Japan on Crunchyroll, which is also streaming an English dub. The anime is also airing on Toonami.

Recently, the official website for the My Hero Academia anime revealed two more cast members for the show’s sixth season. These characters will make their appearance in the 20th episode of the season, which aired on Saturday. The new opening theme song for the season, titled “Bokura no” (Our), is performed by Eve, while the new ending theme song “Kita Kaze” (North Wind) is performed by the three-member rock band SIX LOUNGE.

The sixth season of the anime has so far adapted the “Paranormal Liberation War” arc of the manga, which features a full-blown war between heroes and villains. The series entered the “Black Hero Arc” on February 11.

For those who are new to the series, the manga was first launched in Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump magazine in July 2014 by Kōhei Horikoshi. Viz Media publishes the manga in English, both digitally and in print in North America, while Shueisha’s MANGA Plus service also publishes the manga in English digitally.
