“My Hero Academia” Quirk appeared only in movie

“My Hero Academia: Heroes Rising’s most stylish villain also wielded one of the series’ most useful Quirks, whether it’s in battle or everyday life.

The world of My Hero Academia is filled with a diverse cast of characters, each with their own unique abilities, known as Quirks. While many of the most powerful Quirks belong to the heroes, some of the series’ most versatile abilities can be found in more minor characters, like Hoyo Makihara. Hoyo was one of the villains in the My Hero Academia: Heroes Rising film, who wielded arguably the best Quirk for general use.

Hoyo’s Quirk, Mummification, is incredibly versatile and useful, both in combat and in everyday life. It allows him to freely manipulate the red bandages that are attached to him, as well as any inanimate objects they happen to be wrapped around. He can use the bandages as extra extendable limbs, and their range is seemingly without limit. In battle, Hoyo can use Mummification to comfortably wrap around and puppeteer multiple objects, ranging in size from a truck to a vending machine.

What makes Hoyo’s Quirk so formidable is its lack of clear weaknesses. The objects he can control aren’t limited by number, and his influence over them never wavers, no matter how complicated the fight becomes. His puppets are expendable as well, as Hoyo suffers no repercussions regardless of how damaged his bandages become. Essentially, he has a miniature version of a Nomu army, but without the unpredictability.

In addition to its puppeteer potential, Mummification can also be used for restraining opponents. Katsuki Bakugo found himself completely ensnared by Hoyo’s bandages before he could react. While his organic body couldn’t be manipulated, his support items were not immune to Hoyo’s control, and his gauntlets were quickly weaponized against his classmates.

Outside of combat, Mummification has numerous applications. The Quirk’s versatile nature means its wielder will forever find it applicable in a variety of situations. For instance, an extra arm would be incredibly useful in a pinch. Hoyo’s mobility skills would be boosted by his prehensile attachments, making scaling buildings child’s play for him. Even normal movements would come easier with the support of his supple attachments.

Furthermore, the objects that Hoyo can control don’t seem to have a weight limit, allowing him to suspend several larger items at once. This imitation super-strength is also useful for defensive strategies. As shown in My Hero Academia: Heroes Rising, Hoyo is able to summon no shortage of durable puppets that he can use to shield himself or incapacitate an attacker in times of danger.

Overall, Hoyo’s Mummification Quirk is one of the most versatile and useful Quirks in the My Hero Academia series. Its applications range from combat to everyday life, making it a valuable tool for anyone who possesses it.”
