The anime adaptation of the Gintama spin-off, “Ginpachi-sensei,” is set to be released

Gintama fans, rejoice! The Gintama spin-off novel “3-Nen Z-Gumi Ginpachi-sensei” is getting an anime adaptation. The news was announced on the official Gintama website and social media accounts, and a trailer for the anime is now available on the Gintama YouTube channel.

For those who are not familiar with Ginpachi-sensei, it is an alternate universe of Gintama where the characters attend high school. The original novel series debuted in 2006 and ended in 2018, and it features Ginpachi Sakata as a school teacher of the titular 3-Z class. The class includes characters from the main series like the Yorozuya and Shinsengumi, despite not looking like high school students anymore.

Fans of the Gintama anime may already be familiar with Ginpachi-sensei, as there were occasional segments after the credits. However, this is the first time that Ginpachi-sensei is getting a full anime adaptation.

The trailer for the Ginpachi-sensei anime brings Gintoki and Ginpachi together in a short skit sequence. Tomokazu Sugita, who voiced Gintoki in Gintama, reprised his role for both characters. In classic Gintama fashion, the trailer parodies popular anime Spy x Family and Jujutsu Kaisen due to their recent popularity and success. At the end of the trailer, Gintoki expresses shock and disbelief that Ginpachi is going to be the one who becomes the protagonist of the new anime instead of himself.

The Gintama team has not released many details about the upcoming anime adaptation of Ginpachi-sensei. However, they have confirmed that it is currently in development and more information will be released in the near future.

Overall, fans of Gintama are thrilled about the news of the Ginpachi-sensei anime adaptation. It’s exciting to see this beloved spin-off come to life on the screen, and fans are eagerly awaiting more details about the upcoming anime.
