Theory suggests Jujutsu Kaisen manga may end sooner than expected

The popular manga series “Jujutsu Kaisen” may be coming to an end soon, according to a recent theory among fans. Although there has been no official announcement regarding the manga’s conclusion, the current storyline suggests that the Culling Game saga could be the beginning of the end of the entire series.

The Culling Game has been the main plotline for the past two years, featuring a deadly contest between sorcerers and cursed spirits across ten different arenas in Japan. The game was created by Kenjaku, an ancient sorcerer, who plans to use the cursed energy generated by the game to gain control of Master Tengen, a cursed spirit with the power to control humanity. Several characters, including Megumi, Yuji, Yuta, and Maki, are working to free Satoru Gojo from the Prison Realm while also attempting to prevent Kenjaku from achieving his goal.

The ongoing intense battle between Yuki, Choso, and Kenjaku signals the end of the Culling Game saga, but it also suggests that the manga is coming to its final stages. If Kenjaku successfully completes his plan, the story would be effectively concluded. Moreover, creator Gege Akutami has already hinted at the possibility of ending the series in a 2021 interview with Mandou Kobayash. Akutami revealed that he had already planned how the series would end and that he intended to conclude “Jujutsu Kaisen” within the next two years. This statement, along with the current plot progression, strongly indicates that the manga is in its final stages.

Despite the potential end of the series, there are still several unresolved issues that need to be addressed, including the fate of Saturo Gojo, the resolution of the Yuji and Sukuna problem, and the Zenin Clan saga’s outcome. Fans can expect the final stages of “Jujutsu Kaisen” to deliver plenty of thrilling fight scenes, character deaths, and the resolution of multiple plot lines. If the manga does indeed end within the next year or so, it is sure to leave a lasting impact on the anime and manga community.
