One Piece 1079 features the power of Red-Haired Shanks

In the latest chapter of One Piece, Chapter 1079, fans were left in shock by the monumental events that took place. The chapter focused on two ongoing events, with a majority of the attention given to the satellite of Vegapunk, York, who was recently revealed to be the traitor. The other half of the chapter focused on the clash between the Chief of the Red Hair Pirates, Shanks, and the leader of the Kid Pirates, Eustass Kid, in the New World.

The chapter began with a flashback that explained how York pulled off her betrayal. York explained to the Seraphims that she is being targeted by the Government, who intend to wipe her out along with all the other Vegapunk bodies. To remedy this, she decided to kill every single Vegapunk body, along with every living soul on the island, with the exception of Stella and herself. York then went on to tell S-Snake to petrify her in front of everyone so she has a perfect alibi, and later, unpetrify her so she can go about her secret mission. She also mentioned that she does not want one specific part of the laboratory to be destroyed, but fans are unsure of what it is exactly.

Another interesting event that fans saw unfold in the chapter was one of the ships of the Blackbeard Pirates pulling up on Egghead Island. It is unclear if this ship belongs to Yonko Blackbeard himself or one of his 10 Titanic Captains. It is more likely for this person to be Aokiji, however, what exactly he wants from the island and those on it isn’t known to the fans just yet.

The chapter then turned eyes to Elbaf in the New World, and this was the biggest part of the chapter. Kid prepared a powerful rail gun technique called Damned Punk that he aimed at the nine ally ships of Red-Haired Shanks. Shanks used his Color of Observation to sense Kid’s killing intent and showcased his ability to see the future, which revealed all his ally ships destroyed and his allies dead. Shanks then unleashed a powerful blast of the Color of the Supreme King Haki, named Divine Departure, the same technique that Roger once used on Kozuki Oden when they fought in the Grand Line. Kid’s rail gun was utterly decimated and Killer, who tried to help Kid, was completely taken out. Meanwhile, the Captain of the Kid Pirates was completely knocked out and severely injured just with one attack from Yonko Shanks.

After this monumental event, it was made clear by the narrator that, on this day, in the New World, the Kid Pirates were completely eradicated by one man – Red-Haired Shanks. This left fans in a state of awe and easily goes down in history as one of the best chapters in the entire story for many reasons. Overall, One Piece 1079 was a chapter that shook the foundations of the story and left fans eagerly awaiting what will happen next.
